Simon Brown head shot - House & Garden

Simon Brown

Photographer

"As a London-based Photographer, it has been my considerable good fortune to work with House & Garden magazine since 1983. While my formal education was relatively short and unfulfilled, Condé Nast became my finishing school, and what a remarkable education it was.

From a young age, my focus as a photographer has always been about interiors. For over 45 years, I have specialised in capturing the beauty of the spaces people live in. The work of interior designers, portraiture, the products they create, and my own personal interpretations. Both on location and in the studio. Always interiors themed. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working regularly with many inspiring clients, including Beata Heuman, Kit Kemp, Robert Kime, Emma Burns, Philip Hooper, Nina Campbell, Rita Konig, Studio Vero, Salvesen Graham, and Sims Hilditch, De Rose Sa, to name a few.. In addition to House & Garden, my work has appeared in Architectural Digest, The World of Interiors, Vanity Fair, ID Magazine, Harpers Bazaar, Frederic Magazine, Country Life, and 1stDibs Introspective Magazine.

My photographs have also been the principal work featured in over forty books, including five titles for Kit Kemp, Beata Heuman’s debut book, the first books from Salvesen Graham and Sims Hilditch (and the second for the latter), as well as works by Nina Campbell, Liz Bauwens, and Melissa Penfold. My personal work, Limited Edition Interior prints, is represented by the Benrubi Gallery in New York and the Michael Hoppen Gallery in London."
